2016 Vail Country Fair Activities
This year, we’re working hard to bring in more activities for your entire family than ever before! Here’s what awaits you when you come to the 2016 Vail Country Fair.
Back by Popular Demand
This year, we’re bringing back some of the most anticipated events from years past. Before, these cost money each time you enjoyed them. This year, we’re saving you money!
Introducing: Our $5 wristband. For only $5 you get unlimited enjoyment on these rides. This flat rate covers you for the entire day. Jump, climb and ride as much as you’d like!
Kids of all ages will love bouncing around in the two jumping castles at the fair this year!
There will be one, classic jumping castle for the younger children and an obstacle course, complete with a slide for the kids at heart.
Want to feel the rush of climbing high above the rooftop of Thurber Hall? Take your turn scaling the rock climbing wall and enjoy the adrenaline filled pride when you reach the top.
What’s more iconic of a fair than a ferris wheel? This year, the kid’s ferris wheel is making a comeback and this time, the rides are included with your wristband. Give your kiddos the experience of a trip around the ferris wheel while they stay safely secured and close enough to the ground to enjoy the journey.
Hudbay Minerals will once again be hosting an apple pie contest – because nothing says country fair more than a hot, homemade apple pie! Bring your homemade apple pie to the Hudbay booth to be entered. The winner will receive a gift basket filled with local goodies.
New This Year: Win $150 Worth of Prizes in Our First Ever Scavenger Hunt
This year, we’re giving you a golden ticket to enter to win $150 worth of prizes including a Kindle Fire! All you have to do is follow the clues and collect tokens from the 25 secret locations hidden around the fair. Once you’ve collected them all, bring your ticket back and be entered to win!
Cost of entry: Only $5 for your chance to win $150 worth of prizes!
The Air Force Obstacle Course
Air Force recruiters will be at the fair this year encouraging folks to get a taste for the physical side of the military with an obstacle course. Stop by, learn more about what it’s like to be in the Air Force and talk to our nation’s bravest men and women.
This year, we will have more first responders on site interacting with the community and letting kids get up close and personal with their gear and equipment. Put on some night vision goggles from the Border Patrol or hop aboard the Rincon Valley Fire District fire truck. If you haven’t gotten your children fingerprinted yet, stop by the Pima County Sheriff’s booth to do it at the fair! Kids will walk away with some fun coloring books and toys to play with after the fair too.
The Family Zone
Families with kids of all ages are invited to stop by The Family Zone for exciting activities, such as arts, crafts and games.
